Toulouse: did metro controllers commit a blunder?
Four students are preparing to file a complaint for “intentional violence in meetings” against three Tisséo controllers. These young people would have beaten Marengo station.
The case risks tarnishing the image of Tisséo agents with users. The more than disturbing facts date back to the night of Saturday October 1 to Sunday October 2. Tisséo controllers patrol line A. Marengo station, they see a person in distress and provide assistance. While waiting for help to arrive, they spot students who, according to Tisséo’s management, “are smuggling in and others who are holding glass containers of drinks”.
The sequence of events is diametrically opposed to that which relies on the controllers or the young people on the goguette. Officers claim they were beaten by the students. The latter ensure that it is the controllers who have been beaten. According to information disclosed by 100% Radio that can confirm La dépêche, the version of the students seems a little more close to reality.
Five fifteen-minute video recordings, each captured by surveillance cameras installed at different locations, show that it was the Tisséo agents who carried out most of the blows. Version corroborated by the Toulouse prosecutor’s office.
“Sober cell, police custody, all for nothing”
These young people do not intend to stop there. They became attached to Me Pierre Dunac, a lawyer specializing in criminal cases. The former chairman will file a complaint against these Tisséo agents for “willful violence in meetings”: “My clients quietly returned to their homes with their girlfriends. I would point out that contrary to what Tisséo says, they had paid for their ticket. It turns out that one of them had a beer on him. The officers came to them. The young man told them that he was only carrying the bottle but not drinking it. That’s what when three controllers get violent and hit my customers.”
According to the lawyer, the assertive agents lied in their declarations to the police: “They filed a complaint assuring the investigators that they had been the victims in this story. My clients were taken to a drunk tank and then to police custody. , all for nothing. The investigators watch the video recordings and see who is talking nonsense. My clients were released without any charges being brought against them. They are four young people who are well in all respects and who have never had a run-in with the law. One of them was more injured than the others. He had an appointment with a medical examiner, I haven’t heard back yet.” For its part, the Tisséo management is sticking to its positions: “Our agents issued a reminder against fraud and against the ban on consumption within the network. The situation quickly deteriorated and our three agents were taken to task. .” It will be up to justice to disentangle the true from the false.
