The incredible bubble hotel three hours from Portugal where you can love to see the stars
All rooms are built with secured ceilings. It’s a dream astrotourism.
Forget tents, glampings, rural tourism, luxury hotels and say goodbye to roofs and walls. They are all very good in their record, but what is in vogue now are bubble hotels: that’s right, they are in the form of transparent spheres, where you can enjoy nature in all its fullness, almost without filters, in the comfort of a room. .
It is the longest of life, very close and in the middle of nature for about three hours Portugal, which is one of these shelters that are on Instagram. it’s called Hotel Mulina and is located in Hormids, Toledo.
Those responsible for bringing this project to life are three friends — Jacobo de Llanza, Alejandro Bosch and Victor Messa — who know the school days and have maintained a friendship since then. They have the same philosophy of life, love to live new experiences and are nature lovers of outdoor activities.
Willing to make a career as a small professional and something-professional to connect to a small hotel, Hormigos, to go on an adventure together: to open a hotel to open a different hotel, Hormigos, to go on an adventure together: to open a Hotel. with rooms in the form of packages and transparent ceilings.
Even without experience in the field of tourism, the result could not have been better. Hotel Miluna opened in 2019, with three different rooms, decorated with great detail: the Moons of Saturn, the Moons of Neptune and the Moons of Jupiter.
In the Luas de Jupiter suites (from €249 per night), guests can shower with a view of the sky and rest in a huge bed while looking at the stars. The Luas de Neptuno (from €334) and Luas de Saturno (349€) suites have an outdoor whirlpool bath and a private garden.
All packages are marked with transparent stars at night so you can see them. Inside, there is also no shortage of books on astronomy.
You don’t have to worry about the ceiling: no one will see you showering. Each room has a private plot, surrounded by greenery, to preserve guests’ privacy. You can also order a roof covering, which can be removed whenever you want.
“Another differentiating element is our 100 percent customer orientation. We are meeting a request from each reality. We want to make them feel at home”, said Bosch, one of those responsible. In addition to the experience of falling asleep and looking at the stars, the hotel offers other services such as massages, bicycles, astronomical lectures, photo sessions or even a floatarium. — a heated saltwater pool that simulates the density of the Dead Sea.
how to get there
The most practical way to reach these bubble-shaped rooms is by car: after crossing the Vilar Formoso border, a three and a half hour journey ahead.
Another (longer) option is to take public transport or fly to Madrid. If you depart from Lisbon, you will find yea one way from 15€.
If you take the bus in Oriente, you will have a journey of 7h40 in front of you. When you arrive at Madrid bus station, you just need to take the bus towards Hormigos. Then you have two options: walk for about half an hour or call a taxi.
