Sintra | Castelo dos Mouros wins “Best Historic Landmark” award in Portugal – Jornal de Mafra Sintra
The winners of the year edition of the Remarkable Venue Awards were announced and Portugal received 7 awards distributed corresponding to these categories.
One of the world winners in the Portuguese category was the Castelo dos Mouros in Sintra, which collected the first Historic Landmark up now in voting to achieve the title.
The Moorish Castle disputes the title with the Cathedral Basilica of Saint-Denis (France); Neuschwanstein Castle (Germany); the Galleria Borbonica (Italy); the Keukenhof (Netherlands); the Castle of Almodóvar del Río (Spain); the Qasr Al Watan Palace (United Arab Emirates); the Stamford Bridge Stadium Tour (UK); and the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt (USA).

The national winners will now compete for the title of world winner in their respective categories. The upcoming innovation events will be announced at the annual tourism awards ceremony that will take place in the city (TIS), in Sete, on the 2nd of November.
