Info Corner: Focus “Abroad Abroad” in October
In October, InfoEck informs young people and young adults about various types of opportunities abroad
- Various online and on-site information events related to the monthly focus “Abroad Abroad”
- Start of the “How are you?” campaign by the Austrian youth information center on the subject of mental health
Experience abroad is often an essential part of a CV, opens up new perspectives and helps to get to know one’s own strengths, limits and oneself better. There are many good reasons to plan a stay abroad – but the implementation is not always easy.
On the occasion of the “Time to Move” month of the European network Eurodesk, which takes place throughout Europe in October, the InfoEck – the information center of the state for young people, families and senior citizens – is therefore focusing on the topic “Abroad”. Interested parties can find out about opportunities abroad either at online and on-site events or on the website and the social media channels of the InfoEck, as well as by telephone or on site at the respective InfoEck locations. “Whether for an internship, an au pair stay or a language trip – many young people are toying with the idea of going abroad for a while. This gives young people the unique opportunity to discover new things, get to know other cultures and gain valuable experience for the future. Especially in the European Year of Youth 2022, in which the focus is on personal development and the strengthening of young people, it is important to promote this,” emphasizes the Youth Provincial Council Anton Mattel Also that the information offered via the InfoEck is available all year round. In October, however, the topic of health will also be promoted at the InfoEck: on the occasion of Mental Health Day on October 10th, the Austrian youth information centers will start an information campaign that will provide information on the topic of mental health among young people and on contact points.
