The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi believes that the victory of Ukraine in the current war with the Russian Federation will not end hostilities between the countries. President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that it will be possible to talk about the end of the war only after Ukraine returns the seizure of the territory of the Russian Federation. And there are no compromises in this matter.

New US military aid
On September 29, the US Senate approved the allocation of a $12.4 billion financial aid package to Ukraine. More than half of the funds will go to defense needs, the rest to direct budget support.
It was also announced the provision of additional weapons worth $1.1 billion, including 18 new HIMARS, anti-drone systems, armored vehicles, and radars.
In addition, Ukraine received consent to supply two batteries of anti-aircraft missile systems to NASAMS within 2 months. In the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was noted that in total, two batteries can include 16 launchers with command posts and radars.
Russians are protesting and fleeing the country amid mobilization

On September 30, Vladimir Putin announced the annexation of four regions of Ukraine. The head of the Kremlin signed the agreement on the so-called “admission of new territories to Russia” based on the results of “referendums”. We are talking about Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions.
At the same time, he called the accession of new territories the supposedly inalienable rights of their population, “fixed in the first article of the UN Charter.”
Also, the Russian dictator announced his readiness for negotiations with Ukraine, but note that he does not discuss the status of the newly annexed territories.
Urgent meeting of the National Security Council
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, called the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council for September 30.
It discussed the attempts to annex the territory of Ukraine and the escalation of armed aggression by Russia, the strengthening of the international coalition in support of Ukraine, the strengthening of military-technical assistance to our country, the strengthening of sanctions against the Russian Federation, and the activation of the strategy of nuclear defeat of Russia.
After the NSDC meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a speech in which he announced that Ukraine is ready for dialogue with Russia, but with a different president.
The head of Ukraine also called on people’s deputies to adopt a law on the nationalization of all Russian assets in Ukraine at the next meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
Ukraine is applying for NATO membership
At the final meeting of the National Security Council, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine is applying to join NATO.
As the second head of state, Ukraine de facto has already made its way to NATO and has proven compatibility with the Alliance’s standards. The application is submitted for admission under the accelerated procedure.
Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the NSDC, noted that Ukraine intends to become a member of NATO in an accelerated manner according to the scenario of Sweden and Finland without an agreed Action Plan on membership.
The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, responded to Ukraine’s application for NATO membership by saying that the decision on membership is made by consensus of all 30 allied countries.
Also, according to him, the Alliance is now focused on providing direct support to Ukraine and helping to defend against Russian invasion.
Sanctions against the Russian Federation
Against the background of Putin’s decision to annex new Ukrainian territories on September 30, new sanctions were announced:
