City of Salzburg – Planning Committee: Green light for residential building with shopping mall in Taxham
A residential building project with shops and service providers is to be built in the base zone on a previously unused plot of land in Taxham. The rededication of the area to “Building land – subsidized housing” was unanimously decided by the planning committee on September 29, 2022.
At the same time as the change in the zoning plan, the development plan for the development stage was approved and a ROG usage contract was concluded with the property developer:
The designation “Fundable housing” goes hand in hand with the provision that around 72 percent of the total residential share is to be built as subsidized rental apartments, another around three percent as subsidized hire purchase and a maximum of 25 percent as subsidized condominiums with a capped purchase price.
Specifically, an L-shaped structure is planned on the approx. 0.3 hectare area in the area of the intersection of Siezenheimer Straße and Otto-von-Lilienthal-Straße, which is aligned along the two streets; in the rear there is space for a garden with tree plantings. Based on the surrounding residential buildings, the building wing on Otto-von-Lilienthal-Strasse will have five floors, and that on Siezenheimer Strasse will have four floors. A total of 31 apartments are planned, as well as three shops in the base zone on Otto-von-Lilienthal-Strasse.
The construction project was positively positioned in the design advisory board.
