Portugal loses in Braga and is out of the League of Nations
The Portuguese football team was today removed from the ‘final four’ of the League of Nations, after losing 1-0 with the last Spain, in a meeting of the sixth and round of Group A2, at Estádio Municipal de Braga.
A goal Álvaro Morata, at 8 minutes, sealed the triumph of the ‘roja’, finalist won in 2021, who won the group, with 11 points, against 10 of Portugal and nine of Switzerland, who won at home the Czech Republic (2 – 1), relegated to League B, with four.
Portugal, winner in 2019, will only be tied with Spain in June, for a place in the ‘final four’ of the Nations League, which will play from 14 to 18 of 2023, with Spain, Croatia, Italy and the Netherlands.
