Traditionally, the Arge-Alp-Meeting always takes place at the end of the athletics track season. This year the transnational meeting was held in Salzburg. The South Tyrolean state selection celebrated five daily wins and only had to bow to the defending champions from Bavaria in the team ranking.

This year, South Tyrol again traveled to Austria with a very young team. In Salzburg, the local athletes showed a tremendous performance, especially with the two figureheads Nathalie Kofler and Jonas Steinwandter. The Lananer pole vaulter, who is slowly getting fit again after a long injury break, prevailed in her parade discipline with 4.00 m. Steinwandter, on the other hand, was in a class of his own among the men. The athlete from SSV Bruneck won the 100 and 200 m races and also took gold in the 4×100 m relay (with Risan Bekteshi, Leonardo Badolato and Mattia Pivetta) in 58.10 seconds. Mattia Meneghini also showed a good performance. The high jumper from the Bolzano club CSS Leonardo da Vinci won with 1.99 m, third was Alberto Murari from the Athletic Club with 1.96 m.
The female runners were also convincing in Salzburg. Federica Cavalli from the Südtirol Team Club came second over 400 m, the hurdlers Marie Burger from Vahrn and Isabel Vikoler from the SG Eisacktal took silver over 100 and 400 m hurdles respectively. Annika Oberrauch from Eppan was a good third behind Vikoler. Together with Agata D’Angelo and Cavalli, they also secured the silver medal in the 4×400 m. Burger, D’Angelo, Pustererin Ira Harrasser and Roberta Giovanelli, on the other hand, finished third in the 4×100 m relay.
Leonardo Badolato and Ebrima Bojang, both from Athletic Club Bozen, finished third and second respectively in the 200m and 400m events. Gargazone’s Simon Zandarco (rod) and hammer thrower Michele Ongarato also take silver. An outstanding performance was shown by the gentlemen Hubert Göller. The 45-year-old javelin thrower from Passiria took second place in his favorite discipline and also set a new season record of 61.79 m. Bronze also went to Emily Vucemillo (3000 m) and Raphael Joppi (5000 m) from Meran, as well as to the Pircher siblings Linda (ball) and David (110 m hurdles) from Burgstall. Javelin thrower Marina Gazzotti was third with 40.70 m, Riccardo Vantini also stopped the time measurement over 400 m hurdles in 55.89 seconds and finished third.
With these performances, Karl Schöpf’s team ended up in the excellent second place in the team classification with 192 points. As in the previous year, victory went to the athletes from Bavaria, who were able to assert themselves with 207 points. St. Gallen was 3rd with 175 points.
