The Czech Republic will have a new ambassador to Slovakia
He currently works as the director of the foreign department of the Office of the President of the Republic.
The current director of the foreign department of the Office of the President of the Republic (KPR) Rudolf Jindrák will become the new Czech ambassador to Slovakia starting next year. The current ambassador Tomáš Tuhý will lead the embassy until the end of the Czech presidency in the Council of the EU.
“An amenity (I agree granted by the receiving state) I got it sometime three weeks ago, so now I’m getting ready to leave,” said Jindrák, adding that he remains in his position in the CPR for the time being.
The new ambassador should arrive in Slovakia at the beginning of January. As one of the reasons for his arrival in Slovakia at the beginning of the new year, he cites the celebrations of the anniversary of the establishment of the Czech and Slovak Republics.
“There will be many events in the preparation of which I am already participating today, so I would like to be right there,” explained Jindrák.
He wants to focus on international relations
The future ambassador wants to develop to develop extremely good relations between the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He also considers the coordination of the diplomatic relations of both countries towards other states to be important.
“The first step, although it sounds like a cliché, is maintaining the excellence of Czech-Slovak relations,” stated as her priority.
In addition, it is planned with practical questions, but also with education about common history. According to him, Czechs know less about Slovakia. He attributes some responsibility for this situation to my interest in Slovakia in the Czech media.
