District meeting point Reichenau: Large crowds at the opening in the campaign area
The Innsbruck social services offer different services at over 60 locations. With the district meeting in Reichenau, which is the ninth of its art in the city area, another ISD offer was opened on Thursday evening as part of the district tour. The current ones are available to residents, clubs and other stakeholders for exchange.
INNSBRUCK. “The district meetings have proven themselves immensely, they are the place where people come together. It used to be the village square, the village fountain and the fireplace in the house. I wish the district meeting that it becomes something like the village fountain or the fireplace, where people like to come , exchange ideas, ideas for the district and togetherness,” said Mayor Georg Willi at the opening of the district meeting. Numerous political guests, partners on the Campagne site and residents took the opportunity to get to know the district meeting. “We have met in recent years , developed from a provider that was exclusively associated with care issues to a broad provider for all age groups,” explains ISD Managing Director Hubert Innerebner, adding that the district meeting point should function as a “village fountain, not taken too literally as a fireplace. It should be a place be, where constructive thoughts are swung, where peace is made and where there is also a lot of creativity ity prevails.” adds Innerbner.
A place for many
“The district meetings are a contact point that is available to the residents, actors and associations for commitment, exchange and encounters.” explains the district coordinator of Reichenau Clemens Maass. Already at the opening, some women from Reichenau took the opportunity to get to know each other and were very happy to be able to meet regularly in the district. In Reichenau in particular, this is an important offer, because people don’t actually greet each other on the street or stop to chat, was the unanimous tenor of the visitors. The district meeting place that has now opened follows the temporary district meeting place that served as a meeting place for many residents from October 2018 to June 2022. A visual memento designed by a local artist has also made it from the temporary district meeting point to the new permanent district meeting point.
