We tested Chardon, a delicious cozy bistro in the 10th arrondissement
Constantly on the lookout for little nugget addresses in the capital, our culinary adventures led us to the table at Chardon, a pretty establishment at the crossroads between a restaurant and a natural wine bar. From its cozy setting to its modern and refined cuisine, not forgetting the richness of its cellar, the establishment has all the ingredients that make up a good address. We make you discover.
A resolutely modern and gourmet bistro
Let’s start by setting the scene. At 27 rue Bouchardon is nestled this exquisite address. Both on the terrace and inside, simplicity and modernity are in order. Pastel tones, rattan chairs and a warm atmosphere: here we find all the codes of the Parisian terrace. Inside, the sobriety of the wooden furniture blends perfectly with the busy decor. In short, you feel good at Le Chardon, no matter where you decide to sit!
As for the plate, you can count on a selection of fresh foods, some of which are imported directly from the house’s vegetable garden. An evolving menu, changing every month, which has its share of surprises in store for us at each visit. Sea bass ceviche, arancini or halloumi with panko sometimes make up the starters while you can treat yourself, for example, to a nice chicken supreme, beef kefta or even a delicious Basque sausage for the follow-up. For sweet tooths, also count on a selection of desserts, each as appetizing as the next.
Finally, it is difficult to talk about Le Chardon without suffering from its cellar. Lovers of natural wines, you are on sacred ground! Beyond the traditional red white rosé trio, the natural wine can be tasted here also sparkling or even orange, thanks to dozens of references and grape varieties present on the menu.
