Eicma Milan – YZF-R1 GYTR 2023 and GYTR Pro parts: Yamaha’s customer competition is ready
Crowned Superbike world champion in the company of Toprak Razgatlioglu last year against the ZX-10RR and the ruthless Jonathan Rea (“JR” was six titles in a row), the R1 dearly defended its title this year against the Panigale V4R and Alvaro Bautista (the reformed shock duo of 2019).
At the forefront for a couple of seasons at world level therefore, the Yamaha Superbike is the favorite motorcycle of French competitors: a third of the FSBK 2022 field is made up of YZF-R1s… and the ratio climbs to one machine out of two in the Challenger category as well as in the Coupe de France Promosport!

The secret of the success of the Yam’ on the starting grids and under the checkered flag, often too? “Landing world championship titles is not the only but ultimate“, reveal the Blues by Clairefontaine from Iwata: “Yamaha takes a customer-centric approach, which means the brand always aims to provide the best service and more.“.
Since 2018, (for Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing, i.e. parts designed by Yamaha for its sports cars) made up of elements specifically adapted to motorcycles (R1, R6, R7, R3), solidly designed by in-house engineers and extensively tested… , where Yamaha achieved the double!

This “customer comp” is equipped with “over 25 carefully selected GYTR parts plus an Akrapovic exhaust muffler and manifold“, specifies Yamaha, convinced that this configuration offering”more power, greater performance at all rpm and improved handling (makes) it an ideal competition bike regardless of the level of its rider“.
To perfect their racing machine (or leisure, but not road approved), customers can also draw from the GYTR Pro catalog intended for pilots “who always wants more” and probably drooled in front of it. This R1 GYTR Pro VR46 included a preview of some special parts.
“The GYTR Pro line includes a total of 400 pieces which will be available in GYTR Pro stores from April 2023“, announces Yamaha, which must provide the complete list of products in this new range and their prices before the end of the year.
Available from December – in time for Christmas, then – and delivered in a paint-your-own “Primer White” colourway, the R1 GYTR 2023 is . It will therefore be charged 27,799 euros, an extension of 7,800 euros compared to the basic R1 and approved road. No really, thank you very much, Santa Claus!
