Turkey broke new ground as a country by winning three gold medals in the heavyweight division

Yasemin Adar Yiğit, whose name is written in gold letters in women’s wrestling and who received the title “Adar Yiğit of the Firsts”, reached the second world championship in her career in Serbia. Yasemin, who defeated Egyptian wrestler Samar Hamza 6-0 in the women’s 76 kg final, previously won the gold medal in the World held in 2017 in Paris, the capital of France. Yasemin Adar Yiğit, the only world champion Turkish female wrestler, won her 5th European championship this year in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Yasemin, who was on the podium at the Tokyo Olympics, went down in history as the first Turkish woman to receive money in the Olympics.
TAHA AKGÜL WAS ON THE GOLDEN BELT FOR THE THIRD TIME
Fighting in freestyle 125 kg, Taha Akgül won the world championship in her career. Taha won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and was the 2014 (Las Vegas) and 2015 world champion.
