Toulouse: the vegan village is mobilizing
The Vegan Place in Toulouse, a musical and gourmet event, took place this Saturday, September 17 on the Prairie des Filtres.
For its third edition, the Végan Place in Toulouse is taking advantage for the first time of the bucolic setting offered by the meadow of filters. The L214 association, organizer of the event, intends to introduce hundreds of curious people to a new way of eating without animal products. Animated by several music groups throughout the day, the small ephemeral market brings together around thirty stands offering various vegan dishes (savory and sweet) as well as clothing and accessories of natural origin or even cookbooks.
Various associations including L214, Sea Shepherd and Anonymous for the voiceless take advantage of this opportunity to express the but of their actions to the inhabitants of Toulouse.
Stéphanie, a vegetarian already present in 2019, is delighted: “It’s always a pleasure to be able to find and exchange with people who share the same vision of the world”.
Others like Élodie stumbled upon this small vegan village by chance and took the opportunity to “discuss with associations that defend causes to which I am very sensitive”.
Pedagogy being at the heart of the fight, L214 has set up a stand dedicated to education with visuals and explanations that are more accessible for children.
In exchange for a “homemade” pastry without animal products, the curious can also watch an awareness-raising video on the treatment reserved for livestock on farms.
