The Consensus Meeting, the third and final phase of the networking process for the 2nd edition of the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendez-vous has just ended for the 50 start-ups and around twenty marinas and architects, representing 26 nations, who will meet at the Yacht Club de Monaco on September 25 and 26 for two days dedicated to actions to be taken in response to environmental issues.
For this second edition, the Monegasque company M3 (Monaco Marina Management), a consulting company specializing in the development, management and promotion of marinas & yacht clubs has once again called on Blumorpho, an expert in innovation for the economy sustainable, to organize this unique networking event, which brings together more than 250 players from the entire ecosystem.
“This meeting is part of the Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting approach of our principality, which has always been one of the top places for yachting. We have the responsibility to encourage all initiatives towards more eco-responsible yachting. A marina is one of the key elements of the entire Yachting chain; a “micro city”, in strong interaction with the terrestrial and marine environment”, explains Bernard d’Alessandri, President of the Cluster “Yachting Monaco” and Secretary General of the Yacht Club of Monaco.
With this original concept, which benefits from the support of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Extended Monaco, the digital transformation program of the Prince’s Government of the Principality, Credit Suisse, Al-Rushaid Group, Bombardier, MB92 and Xerjoff, the organizers aim to objective of promoting innovation and green technology, by promoting exchanges and interactions in the field of the design and management of these places of life that are marinas and marinas.

International Smart & Sustainable Marina Awards 2022: 7 start-up finalists
Of the 50 startups in the running, the jury selected a finalist in each of the seven categories entered, namely: CompPair Technologies (New Materials category) for its revolutionary composite capable of repairing itself 400 times faster, several times and with improved quality ; ECOncrete (Biodiversity) whose innovative concrete for maritime constructions allows the storage of carbon and the preservation of biodiversity; Falco (Mobility and Services) with its digital device to optimize the management of services in a marina and offer a connected navigation experience to its customers; GPA Seabots (Water optimization) specialized in naval robotics and autonomous surface vehicles allowing the analysis, preservation and restoration of marine environments; Moore More (Equipment & infrastructure) which makes it possible to increase the number of berths in marinas by +25% to 40% with a system of mobile pontoons while avoiding the construction of new infrastructures with the retrofit of existing elements; Securaxis (Security) which provides real-time acoustic measurements to protect communities from the impact of noise pollution and Solar Cloth (Energy Optimization) and its custom-made flexible solar panels that can be easily moved and removed. Among this final selection, only one winner will be chosen on Monday, September 26th.
“This 2022 edition has revealed many companies with strong potential to provide solutions to marinas in their sustainable development programs. The relevance of the candidates and their high degree of innovation were mentioned by the members of the jury. 31 favorites were awarded, which clearly illustrates that this process goes beyond the simple awarding of a prize. It promotes the establishment of collaborations for the adoption of innovations. Numerous discussions between start-ups, manufacturers and investors are underway,” explains Géraldine A. Gustin, CEO of Blumorpho.
