Starligue: too fair, Fenix Toulouse falls in Limoges
The Toulousains lost 33-31 in Limoges, Friday September 16, during the 2nd day of the championship of France.
The Toulousans have not repeated their performance of the last season in Limoges. Winner of an off-topic LH (36-26) last April, the Fenix fell yesterday on a metamorphosed limousine formation. Led by former Nantes coach Alberto Entrerrios, the Limoges team led the proceedings from start to finish, combining efficiency and commitment.
From the first minutes, the Haut-Viennois put their stamp on this meeting. In search of solutions against the defensive density of the LH, the Toulouse, deprived of Bonnefond, Abdi and Marmier, failed the fault only once during the first ten minutes (5-1). Time to adjust the target, the men of Danijel Andjekovic nibbled their delay (6-5, 14th).

Starligue, 1st day: Fenix Toulouse starts with a bang
Under the leadership of an effective Feuchtmann (5 goals in the first act), the Fenix remained in the greenhouses of the LH (10-9, 21st). But the Haut-Viennois placed a boost at the end of the first half. And after a sumptuous kung-fu from Dolenec for Kollé on the gong, Limoges returned to the locker room with a five-point lead (18-13), in a Beaublanc in heaven.
Pierrick Chelle and his partners chased after this delay throughout the second half. With a Yann Genty in bulwark mode (nine stops after the break) and an always effective offensive sector, Entrerrios’ troops took off (26-19, 45th; 30-23, 53rd).

Too late…
The Fenix was not lowering its flag. Relying on his fast game and several saves from Jeff Lettens, Danijel Andjelkovic’s men reduced the gap in the money time to return to two small units in the last minute (33-31). A reaction too late to hope to glean at least one point in Limousin.
