Ligue 1 – J8: the notes of the Dogues after LOSC – Toulouse FC
After two consecutive defeats at home, Lille won 2-1 against Toulouse thanks to the achievements of David and Ounas. Here are our notes from the Mastiffs after this meeting.
Lucas Knight (7): For his first at home, the 20-year-old goalkeeper reassured his teammates on several occasions. If he can do nothing on the but Toulouse, he is vigilant on a strike from Desler in the middle of the first half and above all, he imposed himself in the aerial field with several well-felt outings.
Bafodé Diakite (4.5): In a particular match for Pitchoun, he was less good than usual, being caught several times by the Sylla-Aboukhlal duo in the second half. The majority of Toulouse situations are places on his side.
Jose Fonte (5.5): The Lille captain was generally present and good in his reading of the game with many well-cleared aerial balls. He makes the decisive intervention before panicking and returning the ball to Toulouse on the equalizer of the TFC.
Leny Yoro (5): For his first tenure in Ligue 1, the 16-year-old defender made a match “Djaloesque”. Irreproachable during almost the entire meeting with duels won, a good reading of the game and even personality with the ball, he misses the Toulouse but missing his recovery at the origin of the opposing achievement.
Ismaily (6): The Brazilian continues to gain momentum and assert his technical quality. Capable of taking the depth to bring danger into the opposing area or of resisting pressure to ventilate the game on the opposite side, the Lille number 31 is still just as important in the animation of Paulo Fonseca.
Benjamin Andre (6): If he lost several dangerous balls in the first half, he is still just as important in counter-pressing and harassing the opposing midfielders. And he delivers a superb ball for Ounas on the winning goal for LOSC.
Andre Gomes (6): For his first start in midfield, the 29-year-old highlighted his technical and conservation quality to offer more confidence in the Lille ball outfit. He still has, like André, a few missed transmissions forward which would have brought danger to the Toulouse defense.
Adam Ounas (7.5): The Algerian right winger has felt good since arriving in Lille and it shows. Very strong in the small perimeters but also on his recovery of support, he made the Toulouse defense dizzy in the first half. Less fair in the second act, he scored a nice but to offer victory to his team.
Angel Gomes (5.5): Higher up the field than usual, we saw less of the Englishman but his technical quality is undeniable. He serves David perfectly on the opener and could even have scored his second but of the season but he crushes his shot too much against Dupé.
Jonathan Bamba (6): Still as active in his lane defensively, the number 7 Lille alternated the good and the less good offensively. Able to serve Ismaily perfectly behind the backs of the defenders and then to play badly in a situation of three against one favorable to LOSC, he was the symbol of bad attacking choices in the second half.
Jonathan David (6.5): After having magnificently scored his fifth goal of the season, the Lille striker was also important in his game without the ball, whether by pressing or calls to free up space for his partners. A generous match even if it was not served in good conditions.
