Toulouse: Manny died of hunger, muzzled in the heat wave
At the beginning of August, in a single weekend, a dog died tied and muzzled, another was injured by its owner with an ax, in Haute-Garonne.
Tied to a tiny piece of rope, muzzled so that he could neither howl nor drink in the middle of a heat wave, Manny, a 2.5-year-old Labrador, died alone, abandoned by his masters, near the Toulouse SPA, at the beginning of august.
In this case, as in so many others, the association Les 4Pattounes, interpreted by Céline Gardel, filed a complaint. “Horror knows no bounds! “says this fervent activist for the animal cause.
Manny had been adopted by a young woman but, now pregnant, she had shown that the animal was too much in her home. She had confided in her father. He did not want to keep the animal or entrust it directly to the humane society so he tied it with a rope barely one meter near the establishment in the northern districts of Toulouse.
Beaten, a female dog left for dead
A well-informed person sounded the alarm with the little information she had. Wanted for a whole weekend, the labrador was found dead. He still wore this muzzle which precipitated him towards this fatal outcome. Without her, he could have barked or even drunk while we found him. Whoever abandoned him didn’t give him that chance.
Lhiam, a mastiff, cross boxer and staff, had narrowly escaped death this same weekend in August. Because he wanted to “get rid of it”, his owner took him to a wood near Pouvourville around 6 a.m. on a Saturday morning. And this master has lost all control as he attacks the animal’s skull and muzzle with an ax. Left for dead, she had managed to drag herself to a nearby barn where she was able to be rescued and seen by a vet. The revelation of his ordeal had provoked an immense surge of generosity and a kitty had recovered thousands of euros.
