Sunday, Red Bull Soap Box Race in Toulouse
In Toulouse, on the hill of Pech David, on Sunday September 18, 2022 at 2 p.m., discover the 5th French edition of the Red Bull Caisses à Savon Race. Bigflo & Oli and many celebrities will be on the jury.
“Innovation”, “ingenious” prototypes, and laughter…this is the program for the soapbox races made in Red Bull. And after five years without a French presence, Toulouse will host the 4th edition on September 18. In addition, this year personalities will play the game of this crazy descent!
The hill of Pech David will be “the place to be” on September 18, 2022! An audience of personalities and top athletes will take turns in teams of 4 all afternoon. At the jury table, athletes from Team Red Bull France, including WRC driver Sébastien Ogier, wakeboarder Jules Charraud, Stade Toulousain player Romain Ntamack, former skier Luc Alphand, rally raid driver Cyril Despres, or even Camille Chapelière, the KTM Red Bull Racing rider.
Three illustrious Toulouse residents will follow one another at their side to decide between the teams: the artist duo Bigflo & Oli and the very young and ultra-talented free-runner Lilou Ruel.
The day will hold some excellent surprises.
Luc Alphand will open the track and comment on his descent live in a Red Bull soapbox. Halfway through the race, Sébastien Ogier will race down and back up the track at the wheel of a Red Bull cross car. The rally driver will also be the co-driver of Mathieu T., the lucky winner of the Red Bull Soapbox Race contest, and they will both descend into a gleaming body.
Spectators will certainly also be surprised to see an official Stade Toulousain soapbox at the start. In the end, nothing really surprising when you know how much rugby fans appreciate this festive and good-natured atmosphere typical of the Red Bull Caisses à Savon Race.
