Jacques Pastor and Fulvio Gazzola (Kia Niro EV) triumph
Last weekend, the 8th edition of the Riviera Electric Challenge was held on the roads of the Alpes-Maritimes, Italy and the Principality of Monaco.
Forty-one cars, including ten brands represented, covered the 250 km test on 14 and 15 September. Departing from Cagnes-sur-Mer, Kia EV6, Audi Q4 etron and other Cupra Born have traveled the roads of the hinterland, as far as Italy and the town of Dolceaqua, before arriving on Sunday at the Place du Palais Princier .
The opportunity for Prince Albert II, in the presence of the mayor of Cagnes-sur-Mer, Louis Nègre, to present the cup to the winners. On board a Kia Niro EV, Jacques Pastor and Fulvio Gazzola outclassed the competition.

They beat Raphaël Carossi and Marie-Pierre Fassio (Energy Transition Mission) in a Peugeot e-208 and Xavier Domenech-Cabaud and Guillaume Coupez (Kia France) in a latest-generation Kia Nico EV.
The Ladies’ Cup was won by Karine Salopek-Ardisson and Mélanie Flachaire, driving a Renault ZOE (Monaco town hall). This increasingly popular rally once again demonstrated that electromobility continues to progress, with increasingly varied models in terms of design and technology and increasingly represented manufacturers.
