Farmers Markets: Where to Shop Direct from the Producer in Milan
Panorama of the different Milanese agricultural markets present in different places depending on the day of the week. An opportunity to shop like in the countryside, to meet local producers, without leaving Milan.
A weekly meeting between the inhabitants of the district and merchants coming mainly from Lombardy but also from other Italian regions, met in the old farmhouse of Cascina Cuccagna. On the menu: organic fruits and vegetables but also fresh pasta or buffalo cheese.
Via Cuccagna (Porta Romana). Open every Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Porta Romana Covered Market
The friendly campaign has partnered with Lombardy’s main agricultural union, Coldiretti, to bring Lombardy’s largest covered agricultural market to Milan. Installed in a former restructured factory of 700 square meters, it welcomes around forty local producers. Themed weeks are regularly organized to show all the varieties of Italian gastronomy. From vegetables to wine, cheese and meat, you can find everything and in large quantities. Producers are even available for online orders.
Via Fruli 10 (Porta Romana). Open Wednesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Navigli agricultural market
Open every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. along via Carlo Troya, all kinds of 100% fresh and natural food are on sale: Meat, fruit and vegetables, cheeses, cold meats, cereals… Some vendors allow the possibility of continuing their online course.

The Serra Galbiati Market
Every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lambrate district, this gathering of fresh produce from the region is considered one of the most beautiful and pleasant in the city. Combine business with pleasure by strolling through the Galbiati gardens. In addition to the traditional courtyards, you can find aromatic plants or flowers.

Municipal agricultural markets
Since 2014, Milan has experimented with 15 farmers’ markets across the city. GAS Validated Solidarity acquisition groupthis project wants to be a meeting process where we can make good quality courses avoiding counterfeiting and industrial products.
