The second edition of the children’s science festival “Hello, Cosmos! Speak Bulgaria!” opens today in Sofia Tech Park
The second edition of the children’s science festival “Hello, Cosmos! Speak Bulgaria!” will be opened today, from 9.30 a.m. in Sofia Tech Park.
A conversation with an astronaut, a virtual tour of CERN and numerous scientific workers have prepared the organizers in the program of the event. It is planned that the Minister of Education Prof. Sasho Penov and the President of the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria Solomon Passi, as well as the executive directors of Sofia Tech Park Todor Mladenov, of the “America for Bulgaria” Foundation Desislava Talyokova, and of “TechnoLogica” Ognyan Trayanov will be present at the opening. and Costas Papadopoulos, representative of Lockheed Martin for Southeast Europe.
The program includes numerous lectures and presentations, which are divided into two parts – in the morning from 10:45 to 12:30 and in the afternoon from 15:20 to 16:40. In the pre-morning panel polar researcher Prof. Hristo Pimpirev will speak on the theme “From Antarctica to Space”. After the end of the first panel of lectures, there will be a virtual tour of CERN (from 1:40 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
The highlight of the afternoon program is the live chat with astronaut Anna Fisher, which will take place at 4:40 p.m. at the “John Atanasov” Innovation Forum.
Various workshops and demonstrations are organized throughout the day. The “Special Forces” Brigade of the Bulgarian Army will have a demonstration from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. with a telescope of the Faculty of Physics of the “St. Kliment Ohridski” will have an observation of the sun. Demonstrations on quantum communication are also planned, and from 19:00 there will be an acrobatic flight by the pilot Nikolay Kalaidzhiev.
During the closing ceremony of the event, the children who asked the most interesting questions to the guests of the forum will be awarded. / IRS
