Saturday September 17 and Sunday September 18, 2022, the 39th edition of the European Heritage and Marriage Days promises great discoveries in Bordeaux for all lovers.
Heritage Days will begin on September 16 at 7 p.m. quai des Queyries on the right bank, with the inauguration of the work of Suzanne Treister “The Well/Technical Library” around a show-performance. On the left bank, next to this inauguration, the “Echo to come” festival also offers from Friday a discovery of the underside of the water mirror and the forecourt of the Saint-Pierre church under the prism of digital creation. Burdigala Cruises allow between 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m., a free shuttle between the two shores, to better navigate between the various proposals of the evening.
►Bordeaux-Maritime highlight its industrial-port past around the Wellman Crane. Registered as furniture under the Historic Monuments, it has been the subject of rehabilitation for several years.
► Public Garden district, biodiversity and natural heritage will be highlighted by numerous visits, in particular the discovery of bats in the Public Garden, with the association Pétronille and the LPO or even in the Parc Rivière around the Maison du jardinier. The hybrid performance of contemporary dance and visual arts Souffles #1 at the Halle des Chartrons will notably echo the climate crisis.
►The Bastide will offer an inaugural weekend around the work of Suzanne Treister, inviting us to question our technological dependence thanks to numerous activities, a stone-cutting demonstration by the Compagnons de Saint-Jacques, as well as a stand by the E-graine and Low Tech Bordeaux and discovery tour of the Garonne. The preservation of the environment will be evoked by visits around the Botanical Garden, the Angéliques park or even architectural and urban experiments in the district by the association Tout Art Faire.

►Saint-Michel district in Bordeaux-Sud and in particular the Flèche site will be promoted by the La Flambée collective but also by the students of Archimuse and the Spectre house.
►To Nansouty we Saint Augustinseveral urban walks or visits to new cultural sites allow a detour off the beaten track.
►Cauderanthe opening of the Garden-School of the Society of Horticulture, Arboriculture and Viticulture will be an opportunity to discover the know-how of this district, a former working-class vineyard which became a rural holiday resort in the 19th century.
►Bordeaux centerwhich for a large part constitutes the remarkable heritage site of Bordeaux (150 hectares protected as an urban complex), will host many events: the heritage villages Court Mably and Place Pey-Berland will be amplified this year and will offer the discovery of the various heritage trades. From the Saint-André cathedral to the hanging gardens of Mériadeck, via the museums of Bordeaux, there will be something for everyone.
