Warsaw. Premiere of the playOwobodzeni ”- by the Pilecki Institute on Friday
“Liberated” is a new case prepared by the Pilecki Institute in connection with the 83rd anniversary of the USSR’s aggression against Poland. The premiere took place on September 16 at the Academy of Fine Arts at ul. Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 39 in Warsaw.
“The title ironically refers to the historical and contemporary narrative of the Russian aggressor who crosses the border of sovereign states and provides aid to peacekeepers requiring technical assistance that requires assistance or saving the civilian population of the database” – we read in the information about the show.
As you can see, “the real nature of the aid will be confirmed by the improvement in the reports of the Office, witnesses of the liquidation of services, gathered by the Lemkin Center, and the archival accounts of the soldiers of the Anders Army, Polish victims of sovietism”.
It was announced that in the play “the story of the cruelty of the war taking place in front of our eyes across the eastern border is intertwined with those about deportations, labor camps, NKVD prisons and a journey through the inhuman Soviet similarities with the tragic consequences of Russian attacks on sovereign states. “
In the performance I flew poems by Zbigniew Herbert. They will be accompanied by live music.
The author of the script and the director of the performance is Jakub Kiersikowski. The set design was designed by Marta Baczewska-Ologele. Music – Marcin Zdunik and Żaneta Sławińska-Zdunik. Performers: Oliwia Adamowicz, Szczepan Kajfasz, Joanna Kwiatkowska-Zduń, Zbigniew Waleryś and Leszek Zduń.
The performance will be simultaneously translated into Ukrainian and English.
Premiere of “The Liberated” – September 16 at 19 at the seat of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (39 Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie Street). Admission to the show is free.
