Art collections were a mark of power, and the Prince Electors of Saxony were determined to show their power to their enemies. The Musée du Luxembourg unveils these treasures from the Dresden art cabinet through the exhibition Mirror of the world, presented from September 14, 2022 to January 15, 2023.

The Luxembourg Museum highlights a hundred works and objects exceptional collections collected between the 16th and 18th centuries, including works of art, scientific instruments and books, natural materials and ethnographic objects. These impressively rich collections show the power, but also the erudition of these sovereigns in competition with the courts of Europe.
The exhibition mirror of the world allows us to admire these works places of whole world, exchanged during trips and visits.
