Europa League. Reinforced security in Monaco for the reception of Hungarians from Ferencváros
Security around the Louis-II stadium and inside will be reinforced on Thursday September 15, 2022 (6:45 p.m.) for the reception of the Hungarian team from Ferencváros, during the second day of the Europa League.
The supporters of the Ferencváros club will be 900 Thursday evening, at the Stade Louis-II. Two hundred of them, represented as VIPs, will be seated in the side stands. After the Hungarian club requested an extension of 100 places on Monday evening from its Monegasque counterpart, the other 700 will live the match in the visitor park, the popular tribune H, on the French border with the city of Cap-d’Ail.
Less than 7,000 people are expected
Even if this meeting does not arouse passions in the Principality and even if less than 7,000 people are expected at the stadium, the local authorities, those accustomed to this type of event, have, in collaboration with the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes, reinforced security .
In addition to the large presence of Monegasque police officers, a CRS company will be deployed around and in the stadium. A company of the French national gendarmerie will be held at various border posts, in particular in the town of Cap-d’Ail, indicates the Monegasque club.
The flow of Hungarian supporters in the Principality will be managed in three ways: by a police escort for the buses, by an obligation to park in a specific parking lot, close to the visitor parking lot for those who come by car, and by respecting timetables entry into the Principality for those traveling by train, to allow sufficient time for pat-downs before entering the stadium.

In order to ensure that the number of Hungarian supporters does not exceed that planned and decided by the two clubs (900, i.e. 5% of the stadium’s total capacity as stipulated by UEFA), the Interior Department of the Monegasque government has blocked the sale of tickets online for IP addresses placed in Hungary and banned all online sales for certain stands.
