Nice victory for Virtus who at their debut in the Tuscan Cup overcomes the Laurenziana Firenze 101-55. A game that the rossoblu have taken in hand right from the start, increasing the gap with the passing of the minutes.
A sparkling start with the aggressive guests right from the start on both halves, also taking advantage of some carelessness of the rossoblu. Bartoletti’s speed on the counterattack gives the first break to Stosa. The Florentines try to break the rhythm with a Timeout, from which, however, the rossoblu play, great protagonist of the first quarter, comes out with two triples that give a double-digit advantage at the end of the first quarter (26-15).
At the beginning of the second fraction the attacks stop a bit, with the Laurenziana coming back under the leadership of the young Pieri. Soon, however, Bartoletti and Imbro return to produce an offensive game for themselves and their teammates and the new extension is not long in coming, with the teams returning to the locker room at mid-game at 43-27.
In the third quarter Virtus, now strong with a solid advantage, plays on enthusiasm and extends further. The partial that definitively breaks the match is still by Bartoletti, who scores 9 points in a row for the 62-34. Despite the gap, the teams now have to put intensity and aggression on the pitch, above all for Virtus Caridi and Cacciatori who make a big voice under the basket and Banchero, good at scoring and in rhythm with his teammates. It ends 101-55, an excellent seasonal debut for the rossoblu now expected from the first away match on Sunday in Prato, again in the Tuscan Cup.
