Sensational Lorient, Toulouse and Nice breathe, Angers finally wins!
What a spectacle in this seventh Ligue 1 multiplex of the season. Ten goals were scored on the four lawns concerned by this seventh multiplex, while only one red card was distributed on the Toulouse side for Alexis Flips (Reims) on the hour mark. Angers won for the first time of the season, while Toulouse and Nice have just treated themselves to a real breath of fresh air. For its part, FC Lorient continues its sensational start to the season.
Lorient overthrows Nantes and places itself (temporarily) at the foot of the podium
This afternoon’s match was played on the Moustoir side. FC Lorient, which hosted FC Nantes, won with a score of three goals to two. Yet it was the Canaries who opened the score from the twelfth minute of play through Ignatius Ganago. The former RC Lens striker is found on a corner by Quentin Merlin and heads the ball off the near post. In the 19th minute of play, Dango Ouattara takes care of a very well placed free kick and deposits it magnificently in the top corner of an Alban Lafont who remained on the spot.
The end of the first period is to the advantage of Nantes but Yvan Mvogo nullifies all their efforts. On the hour mark, Yoann Cathline, who had just come into play, capsized the Moustoir stadium. The young striker is found at 20 meters by Gédéon Kalulu, opens his right foot and sends his ball into the top corner. In the 74th minute of play, Ibrahima Koné also scored on his first ball. The Malian striker is launched by Dango Ouattara and crosses his shot for the deceitful Alban Lafont before ending in tears. At the end of the game, Moses Simon tries his luck from outside the area and sees his ball being deflected twice before ending up in the cages. Victory three goals to two therefore for Merlus who are on the fourth step before the OL match this Sunday evening.
Toulouse and Nice breathe!
Téfécé, which hosted Stade de Reims, won by the smallest of margins. At the half-hour mark, Dallinga requested the one-two with Chaibi and saw the latter serve Zakaria Aboukhlal magnificently in depth. The Moroccan international does not need to be asked to cross his shot and open the scoring. On the hour mark, Alexis Flips left the Champagne region at ten for a tackle as the last defender on the same Atlas Lion. Victory 1-0 therefore for Violets who breathe in the classification.
How hard it was for OGC Nice near Ajaccio. The GYM produced a more than dull performance this Sunday afternoon and won, once again, thanks to a stroke of genius from Andy Delort. Number 7 of the Aiglons receives the ball after a corner, controls and scores a superb acrobatic return at the level of the penalty spot. The latter decides not to celebrate out of respect for his former club. At the very end of the match, Nicolas Pépé hits the pot with a nice volley attempted at the entrance to the area. Small victory therefore for a small OGC Nice, while AC Ajaccio only gleaned a small point after the first seven days of Ligue 1…
The first victory for Angers!
Let’s go at 2000 in Angers! And for good reason, Montpellier scored the first goal of this seventh multiplex in Ligue 1. Faitout Maouassa was left alone on his side, took the time to apply himself to his cross and saw Arnaud Nordin cut him off at the far post with a beautiful volley in the seventh minute of play. Two short minutes later, Adrien Hunou puts the two teams tied. Azzedine Ounahi took advantage of a bad recovery from Hérault to try his luck from 20 meters. The MHSC goalkeeper can only push the ball back into the feet of Hunou, who shoots Kamara at close range.
The SCO returns to the lawn with much better intentions and is more and more dangerous, while Montpellier slows down. Shortly after the hour mark, Bingourou Kamara received a yellow card for an uncontrolled outing at the feet of Adrien Hunou. The VAR intervenes and leans in favor of the Anjou club, which benefits from a penalty. Sofiane Boufal takes care of it and allows the Angevins to win their first victory of the season.
