At spring 2023the French will find a very popular program, on M6 : The Best Bakery in France. Endemol France production has chosen the Lille brand Brüt as cutting board supplier, to present the dishes. The team came to visit Ann and Xavier Trübits creators, Lille (North).
A phone call in the summer of 2021
How did the adventure begin? By a simple phone call, tells us Xavier Trüb, in the Brüt showroom in Lille. “The production had spotted us on the networks, it offered us a partnership. »
Brüt therefore, for the first time, provided several models of boards, for the 2022 edition. Four models, in triplicate, on which viewers were able to observe the creations of the contestants of the show.
In 2022, the team this time came to meet the couple who created the brand, and regularly sells new models. the MOF baker Bruno Cormerais himself came to greet the Northerners, with the film crew to capture some images.
“We may be seen on screen,” says Ann, with a small smile. Because if a passage on TV is an opportunity to highlight a brand, it still has to appear on the screen. “When you watch the show, the Brüt brand is blurred. They can’t leave it on the screen,” recalls Xavier. During the first broadcast, she had her place in the credits, and in the description of the show (alongside her partners).
new models
In The Best Bakery in France, we put forward the ancestral know-how. And French, of course! Values that speak to the creators of Brüt. “The fact that it is wooden planks, they liked it. As Bruno Cormerais told us, wood at the bakery is important. »
Xavier has also, since 2021, created a tribute board to the “baker’s shovel”, inspired by a board found in a well-known Lille address, Brier. In 2022, he took on a new challenge. “They assumed a round board, to present the dishes”, we specify, showing the model. Because in addition to standard models (if one can say because each piece being cut out of raw wood is unique), Xavier draws specific creations, to order.
He also designed a board the size of a loaf of bread, and made a personalized branding iron, bearing the show’s logo. “They left with their personalized board”, smiles Xavier.
Enjoy !
You can tell from the way they talk about Brüt: Ann and Xavier are passionate! And above all, they are very inspired. “We’re having fun,” Ann slips in, referring to one of her latest creations: the ping-pong board. These are two small circular boards, sold in pairs, like table tennis rackets.
“Basically, I needed a board to put my cast iron teapot on,” says Ann. “Behind every name hides a story,” comments her husband. And Ann adds: “Sometimes people don’t know what to choose to offer a board. Names help. »
You might be tempted by “La Croisette” (in the shape of a palm leaf) or by “Brooklyn”, the size of a skateboard. The production of the M6 gourmet show has, for its part, made its choice.
