Fedcom wins Euroleague and Eurocup rights in Monaco and France
Historical partner of AS Monaco, whose owner is Aleksej Fedoricsev, president of AS Monaco Basket since January 2022, the company Fedcom would have bought the rights of the Euroleague and the Eurocup according to the newspaper L’Equipe.
Already a major partner of the Euroleague and majority shareholder of AS Monaco Basket, Fedcom is further accentuating its presence in the world of basketball.
Held last season by the L’Equipe channel, the rights to the Euroleague, but also to the Eurocup, were bought by Fedcom, for Monegasque territory, but also for France. The duration of the contract would be four years.
A digital platform under study
Although the amount of the rights has not been disclosed, the new holders would aim “to set up a digital platform as the preferred medium for dissemination. »
As far as the broadcasting system is concerned, the new owner of the TV rights could strike hard, with for each home meeting of the Roca Team and ASVEL in the most prestigious of European competitions, the deployment “a substantial system in terms of production, with pre- and post-match sets, as well as two commentators physically present at each match. »
