Product recall: Toulouse Jean Rozé sausages from Intermarché contaminated with salmonella
The presence of salmonella in sausages marketed throughout France by Intermarché is the subject of a product recall.
It is recommended not to consume Toulouse sausages of the Jean Rozé brand, sold throughout France by Intermarché during the period from August 25 to August 31.
Indeed, the Jean Roze brand Toulouse sausages sold in packs of 4 in trays of 500g with registration -25% on salt are thus recalled. This is lot J22350780, the use-by date of which is set for September 6th.
They should not be ingested because they would present a risk of salmonella contamination, as reported by the government site Consumption reminder, this Wednesday, September 7.
The instructions
As the use-by date has passed, there is a high risk that people who have purchased the product have already consumed it.
It is therefore important to monitor whether symptoms appear. In fact, food poisoning caused by salmonella results in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhoea, vomiting) of sudden onset often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally adapt 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products.
These symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly.
People who have consumed these products and who have these symptoms are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption.
If there are no symptoms within 7 days of consuming the affected products, there is no need to worry.
It is possible to get a refund for the product.
