Faced with this finding, the deputies of France Insoumise launched theoperation #AlloSegur. Since the beginning of the summer, they have visited hospitals throughout the territory “to relieve the grievances of caregivers in various departments, and to identify material and human needs”, explains Anne Stambach-Terrenoir. “It’s popular investigative work of the health system. We want to have an overall vision,” she underlines.
The difficulties at the Toulouse University Hospital this summer
The member thus went to the Purpan hospital this Thursday, September 8. the Toulouse University Hospital had many difficulties this summer. “It was difficult for all the services, especially the emergencies. We have been understaffed, with departures on leave, and many beds have closed. A hundred were missing, ”reports Victor Alava, deputy secretary of the South social health union in Haute-Garonne.
The adult emergency department of the Purpan hospital was also on strike during the summer period. He only received “vital emergencies led by the Samu”. “The service managed to obtain 30 additional positions. But I don’t know if the closed beds have reopened, ”says Victor Alava. He adds: “It has been 20 years since the hospital was destroyed and now we are coming to a disaster. Hospitals are in a pitiful state today”.
What CHU caregivers ask for
The caregivers at Purpan hospital therefore had many complaints to make when the deputy comes. “We are asking for the reopening of beds, the tenure of all agents, the revaluation of salary grids, the reintegration of unvaccinated caregivers and a change in the way hospitals are managed”, lists the deputy secretary of the South social health union.

He hopes that the visit of Anne Stambach-Terrenoir and above all, the #AlloSégur operation, will change things. “It is appreciable that deputies are interested in us. What will this work of the deputies allow?
After her visit to Purpan hospital, the MP is moving to several other hospitals in the Haute-Garonne department this month. “The idea is to multiply these meetings in the days and weeks to come”, announces Anne Stambach-Terrenoir. This investigative work by deputies then give rise to a restitution in the form of a report in September.
“We want to report on what caregivers are going through. They can no longer sound the alarm in a vacuum, ”laments the MP. This report will then serve as “a working basis for nourishing amendments and proposing a counter-draft social security financing law (PLFSS, editor’s note),” says Anne Stambach-Terrenoir.
