What awaits you at the Beaulieu Classic Festival which starts this weekend
Classic… But not only! The conception of the artistic director of the festival, Chrystelle Couturie, says a lot about the programming of this 20th edition which begins this Saturday 10 and runs until September 17.
For this very special anniversary, opera singer Chrystelle Couturier, artistic director of the festival, has concocted a very eclectic program. And if you’re not a big connoisseur, don’t panic, there will be something for everyone.
Starting with the free opening concert, which will take place on the beach at Petite Afrique, the themed gala dinner and the “eyes closed” candlelight concert.

Jean-François Zygel, sponsor
The sponsor this year is none other than Jean-François Zygel who won the Victoire de la Musique in 2016. This composer, pianist, improviser, is
also a TV and radio host. It takes place on Sunday 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Casino de Beaulieu-sur-mer. At his side, experienced musicians and exceptional artists will showcase their instruments: string quartet, piano, trumpet and accordion. Les Virtuoses, Les Itinérantes, and Félicien Brut, to name but a few.
Spectators could also appreciate the repertoire of Mozart and Haydn with the Orchester National de Cannes.
Since the festival is a moment of sharing, students from the SIVOM Conservatory and from the department will have the opportunity to meet these musicians. With their teachers, they are invited to attend concerts and rehearsals free of charge.
Exceptional places
What makes the great particularity of the Beaulieu Classic Festival is its roaming, because the idea of the organizers is also to make discover the richness of the heritage of Beaulieu. This year, the public is expected in the magnificent Rotonde, in the very beautiful Anglican church of St Michael’s church, or in the renowned Casino de Beaulieu. Enchantment guaranteed!
You can find the complete program on the festival website.
