Toulouse is breaking temperature records again… and will face a new heat peak

This summer, at Toulouseit’s as hot as in Athens!
“Over the whole of the summer, the average maximum temperature is 31.5°C in Toulouse”, explained to us a few days ago the former meteorologist of Météo France, Pascal Boureau.
In the space of three months, between the beginning of June and the end of August, 24 days passed the 35°C mark. Records, more records…
In the wake of this extraordinary summer, Toulouse continues to set records at the start of September. Three records were indeed broken in the space of a few days.
A record of sweetness
The first went completely unnoticed and yet you felt it pass. Toulouse has indeed recorded its record for night mildness for the month of September… It was 22.9° at the coolest of the day.
The two hottest days in history
On the same day, the maximum temperature recorded at Toulouse-Blagnac rose to 34.4°. Taking into account the morning record and the heat at the zenith of the day made this Monday, September 5 the hottest day of September since the beginning of the readings in Toulouse with an average temperature of the day which rose to 28.7°.
Tuesday’s day was not much milder since in terms of average daily temperature (taking into account the mini and maxi), it was the second hottest day in the history of readings for a month. September in Toulouse with 27.5°.
A new heat peak expected
The heat for Toulouse is not over yet. A new peak of heat is indeed expected for the weekend.
Hurricane Danielle, which will park far from the French coast, could act as a heat pump. With temperatures rising from Sunday September 11, 2022.
In the Toulouse plain, temperatures could reach 34 to 35° Sunday.
