It’s one of viewers’ favorite shows.M6. the Wednesday, September 7, 2022” The Best Pastry Chef » is back for a 11th edition which already promises to be rich in twists and novelties.
Presented by Mary Portolano, Cyril Lignac and Mercottethe show will welcome this year two candidates from Toulouse : Benjamin and Sebastian. Two men with different backgrounds, but literally “stung” by pastry. Presentation.
Benjamin, 32 (fruit and vegetable buyer)
When he shows up, Benjamin32 years old, does not hesitate to highlight his nice southwestern accent. In the show, you can’t miss it! Sympathetic and eager for new experiences, the thirty-year-old living in St. Alban discovered a fairly recent passion for pastry. “It came while watching the show, explains this regular at the Wam Park of Sesquieres. I made a cake once, my friends thought it was good… I got into the game and it became a passion! I learn every day. »
“Overnight, I thought it would be cool to sign up for this show. The cast is quite “heavy”, but I’m proud to have secured my place on the show. I did that without taking my head, it was really great! »
“For me, a cake is good or not good. For chefs, it’s not the same…”
Seduced by the atmosphere around the various events, the Toulousain experienced this event like a marathon. “It’s a real competition! You can succeed in several stages before making a mistake… It does not forgive! »
Benjamin was also impressed by the precision of the chefs, especially in their judgements. “They are super precise and decipher everything, always with kindness. For me, a cake is good or not good (laughs). »
“The human toll is fantastic after this show where I made very strong encounters. I transferred a lot and gave it some ideas for the future…”
Since the end of the show, Benjamin has made his passion live through social networks. “I’m having fun even if I’m not sure where I’m stepping. It obviously gives me ideas for the future…”
Sébastien, 47 (head of a cybersecurity company)
For Sébastien, 2022 is the year of all changes! Very recent boss of a start-up specializing in cybersecurity, the Toulousain had the nice surprise of being selected for the show at the same time. “I must say that I put myself in Batman’s shoes a bit during the filming, he laughs. At night, I had to work on my projects, it was a rather particular rhythm. »
“I took part in the Meilleur Pâtissier for several reasons. Mainly because it’s one of my favorite shows and especially for my daughters who are the dearest thing in my life. They also participated in my portrait. »
When he discovered a certain ease for pastry, the Haut-Garonne candidate immediately thought of the show. “It’s such a magical and timeless program… I love it! »

Once selected, Sébastien could not hide his excitement at the idea of seeing behind the scenes. “It’s an incredible machine, explains the 40-year-old from Burgundy. It’s really fabulous even if you lose a bit of magic seeing all the little details related to the show. »
Sympathetic and good-natured, the Toulousain particularly appreciated the atmosphere which reigned between the candidates as well as the proximity with the great chefs and the presenter Marie Portolano. “They are all approachable and really caring! On a past of very good times! »

At the time of taking stock of this new experience, Sébastien savors, in particular thanks to the pride given to his daughters, but also stamps with impatience at the idea of seeing the first broadcast. “It’s going to be a good time!” We are going to watch this episode with friends and enjoy the sympathy capital of the Best Pastry Chef! »
