Sigsteinn Gretarsson appointed CEO of Skaginn 3X and Baader Iceland
The processing equipment company Baader in Lübeck, Germany, has hired Sigstein Grétarsson as CEO of its subsidiaries Skaginn 3X and Baader Ísland.
Most recently, Grétarsson worked as CEO of Arctic Green Energy Corporation and previously as chairman of the board of the Icelandic Promotion Council. Prior to his tenure, he spent 19 years at Marel, rising from regional sales manager to managing director and business manager, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Robert Focke, managing director of Baader Fish, said that Gretarsson’s appointment will “further strengthen.” [the company’s] strategic position in Iceland.”

Gretarsson’s management in Iceland appoints Jón Birgir Gunnarsson as director of sales and Guðjón M. Ólafsson as director of finance. They will be supported by Jeffrey Davis, CEO of ISEA Partners, who will continue to act as Skaginn 3X’s chairman.

Baader acquired a majority stake in Skaginn 3X, a seafood producer in Akranes, with headquarters in Iceland, in October 2020. The deal was completed in February 2021.
