Euro basketball – Belgium will challenge Slovenia of Luka Doncic, defending champion, in the round of 16
Belgium will face reigning European champions Slovenia in the round of 16 of the Euro Basketball Championship on Saturday in Berlin following Montenegro’s victory over Georgia in the final Group A game on Wednesday in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Montenegro’s success means that Belgium, who validated their qualification on Wednesday by winning 89-80 against Bulgaria, finish in 4th place in group A and will therefore face the first of group B, namely Slovenia, in the round of 16. final on Saturday. The time of the meeting is yet to be determined. Earlier on Friday, Slovenia secured first place in Group B by winning 88-82 against France with 47 points from their star Luka Doncic who dumped for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA.
