Near Toulouse. The fall of a power line causes a fire, several hectares go up in smoke

A fire declared itself in Bois-de-la-Pierre, south-west of Toulouse, Monday September 5, 2022, at the start of the evening. It was caused by the fall of a power line. Several hectares went up in smoke.
More than 20 firefighters on site
The emergency services were called shortly before 7 p.m., at the end of the day when sectors of west of Toulouse were also hit by hail and wind. Coming from the barracks of Carbonne, Fousseret, Cazères and Rieux-Volvestre, the 23 firefighters and their five fire engines apprehended flames, which had arrived following the fall of a power line.
Six hectares burned
The residents were evacuated during the intervention of the firefighters, who stopped the spread of the fire, since according to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Haute-Garonne, this one ” was heading to an ESAT (Establishment and work assistance service) located nearby”.
If no casualties are to be deplored at the end of this fight led by the emergency services, six acres stubble, grass and brush still went up in smoke.
