Monaco inaugurates its new training center
Call it “performance center”. Following the victory of its first team against OGC Nice (1-0), AS Monaco resolved this Monday morning its new training center, installed against the rock of La Turbie, where the players of the Principality has already been training for several decades.
It’s been more than a year since Wissam Ben Yedder and his partners took up residence in the state-of-the-art seven-storey building which cost Dimitri Rybolovlev, the president of the ASM, €55 million, but the inauguration was awaiting the delivery of the third grass pitch and its stand.

The set now complete, two hundred guests and forty journalists were present to attend the event. In addition to the arrival of Philippe Clément’s staff and a few players from the workforce – Wissam Ben Yedder, Alexander Nübel, Axel Disasi, Youssouf Fofana, Guillermo Maripan -, several former glories of the club had made the trip – Didier Deschamps, Youri Djorkaeff, Claude Puel, Jean-Luc Ettori, Jean Petit – as well as leading Monegasque personalities such as pilot Charles Leclerc.
The inauguration was held in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Ekaterina Rybolovleva, daughter of President Rybolovlev, and Juan Sartori, the latter’s gender and vice-president of the club. Only Dimitri Rybolovlev himself was missing, excused for “a health concern” according to his daughter, who read for her father the speech that the latter had prepared.
