Embolo and Henrique decisive… Discover the notes of AS Monaco after the victory in Nice (0-1)
NUBEL (7): he recovered in two stages against Atal then at the main farm to stop Pépé’s powerful shot in the first half. He goes to the ground very quickly in the second half to get out Dante’s strike. In summary, he made the necessary saves and played a big role in Monaco’s success.
DISASI (7): the attackers of Nice tried hard, they broke their teeth in the face of his timing and his power in the duels. His big comeback on Laborde (42′) perfectly illustrates his match as boss.
SARR (6): moved like a child in his first duel with Delort (5′), he then raised his voice thanks to his sense of anticipation (19′, 31′). Reassuring after his difficult match against Troyes.
BADIASHILE (6): clean in most of his interventions and his raises, he still offered a big but chance to Dante with a stammered foot intervention. If he has to go up faster to stop Pepe from knocking in the first half, he delivered a really serious copy overall.
AGUILAR (5): very little challenged by Bard on his right side, he was very (too) timid offensively and crossed out a few crosses. He needs to let go more. Replaced by VANDERSON (65′), who mastered the spaces behind his back.
FOFANA (6): he suffered from Ramsey’s ball-keeping qualities and at first multiplied the faults, in addition to being hesitant with the ball at his feet. He’s never better than when he plays singles, which he did much better in the second half.
CAMERA (6): he has only arrived for three weeks but the Malian is already a leader on the ground, where he never refuses the fight. He wasn’t afraid to take responsibility in attacking play either, but he had a bit of a waste of his passing when his shots flew wide. He is largely forgiven.
HENRIC (7): yet swift, he had great difficulty controlling Atal on the Nice counter-attacks, and the first strike of the match came from the Algerian. While remaining serious defensively, he let go more after the latter’s injury, chaining combinations with Golovin and dangerous crosses. It is from one of them that the winning goal comes.
DIATTA (5): apart from a strike blocked by Todibo after a clever hook (39′), he made very little difference in the first period. He attacked the second better with a volley that seemed to take the frame like in Strasbourg, but Bard was on the trajectory.
EMBOLO (7): Installed alone at the peak, he first had a lot of trouble expressing himself because Dante and Viti did not leave him a centimeter for a long time. More mobile then, he was again denied a penalty (like against Troyes on Wednesday) after a borderline contact from Bard who deserved to be reviewed. He took advantage of Caio Henrique’s caviar to head in his second but in L1. An action he had initiated by stealing the ball from Beka Beka.
GOLOVIN (7): untenable in the first half, on the left as on the right, he only missed the right gesture (a shot above, another not rolled up enough) to reward his superb intentions. Replaced by JAKOBS (89′).
