Behind the scenes of the inauguration of the AS Monaco Performance Center
Operated since the summer of 2021, the AS Monaco Performance Center, located in La Turbie, was finally shut down on Monday September 5, 2022, in the presence of Prince Albert II, but also Jean-Jacques Raphaël, Mayor of La Turbie, Ekaterina Sartori Rybolovleva, member of the board of directors and Juan Sartori, vice-president of the club.
Already used by the club’s players since last summer, the AS Monaco Performance Center was unveiled to the press and nearly two hundred guests on Monday morning, the day after a prestigious victory over the lawn of OGC Nice.
Designed by Frédéric Genin, architect of the Performance Center, the brand new building required nearly four years of work for a total cost of 55 million euros, approved by President Dmitri Rybolovlev.
With three training grounds to European (UEFA) and French (French Football Federation) standards, a large weight room with numerous state-of-the-art equipment and a balneotherapy room with all kinds of pools, the Center of Performance of AS Monaco is one of the most successful in Europe.
A project dear to Dmitri Rybolovlev

According to AS Monaco President Dmitri Rybolovlev: “It was a major project, as difficult as it was ambitious, which allows AS Monaco to offer its professional group today and, tomorrow, the next generations of players, to train in optimal conditions. This new complex meets the highest requirements in the sports, technical, medical and other fields. The necessary training conditions have been created at the Performance Center to help our club achieve its goals. »
In addition to the presence of Philippe Clément and a few players from the squad, including Wissam Ben Yedder, Alexander Nübel, Axel Disasi, Youssouf Fofana, and even Guillermo Maripan, several former emblematic faces of the club were present. From Didier Deschamps to Youri Djorkaeff, via Claude Puel, Jean-Luc Ettori or even Jean Petit.

After his podium at the Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday and a week away from going to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc also made the trip for the occasion. The Scuderia Ferrari driver even improvised a game of table football alongside Guillermo Maripan, Alexander Nübel and his brother, Lorenzo Tolotta-Leclerc.
A morning and a date, September 5, 2022, which mark a new chapter in the history of AS Monaco.
