Marriages between women most often end in divorce
And if they live in the countryside as well, it’s even worse.
The study is called “Same-sex marriage over the age of 26: Marriage and divorce trends in rural and urban Norway”. It was recently published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Family History.
In the study, senior researcher Rune Zahl-Olsen and professor Frode Thuen have mapped how the 5,187 same-sex partnerships and marriages that have been entered into in Norway between 1993 and 2018 have gone.
