Les Hauts de Bacchus 2021
Red Ventoux, Bernard Magrez, organic
This is undoubtedly the first time that we have selected a wine from Bernard Magrez in this category, better known for its grand crus classés than for low-priced cuvées. This one delighted our taste buds with its scent of red fruits and its pretty juice Endowed with a beautiful energy.

The Antlers of the Deer 2020
Red Corsica, Domaine Vico, organic
We no longer doubt the quality of Corsican wines, but their price, often high, can sometimes curb our desires. No hesitation for this red, both dense and juicy, which perfumes with its notes of cherry and rose tinged with liquorice. Its powdery and mineral finish gives it a proud look.

Naturally Pure, Orange Wine for the Curious 2021
White wine from France, Vellas vineyards, organic and without sulphites
Beware of the fashion effect of orange wines at these wine fairs. They often have little to do with the reality of the product. We tasted a few, in certain stores whose names we will not mention, which only had the name on the label orange. Not so with this cuvée which reveals a complex nose of dried fruits and white flowers. Long and fresh in the mouth, it is punctuated by beautiful bitterness.

The Sketch 2020
Anjou white, Château de Suronde, organic
A dry chenin, from the fabulous terroir of Quarts-de-Chaumes, which delights with its scents of peach and fresh melon. Ample and generous on the attack, it becomes fat and fleshy before a beautiful finish with citrus accents and fine bitterness.

My Mother’s Kitchen 2021
Chinon, Nicolas Grobois, organic
We no longer need to introduce Domaine Grobois, in Chinon, which already had the honor of our columns last July. Here, it is a question of the trading activity carried out in parallel by the two brothers, Nicolas and Sylvain. A crunchy Cabernet Franc with a fresh and drinkable substance that you never tire of.

Riesling Zellenberg 2018
Alsace white, Jean Huttard, organic
Its scent of apricot and honey invites tasting. Frank on the attack and of a good fullness, it reveals a nice fat and a lot of greed, but remains very delicate and offers a finish of a beautiful balance.

Blackcurrant white 2021
Domaine La Dona Tigana, organic
The former international footballer Jean Tigana is at the origin of the creation of this domain since 1998. We say that the vines succeed him as well as the lawn as the discovery of this white was pleasant. Based on Marsanne, Ugni Blanc and Clairette, it is greedy and very fresh underlined by the fine bitterness of its finish.
