The audience with the Pope
Goosebumps moment when the Swiss Guard steps onto the stage and a few moments later Pope Francis comes into the audience hall. An atmosphere like in the big stadiums and right in the middle the Tyroleans of the diocesan pilgrimage. His message: decisions have consequences for you and the world, you can turn them into a desert or into a blooming garden.

Shortly after the audience at the following one another highlight with the Mass by Bishop Hermann. Bishop Hermann responded to the words of the Pope and established the consideration: What can I do, how can I be the focus of his sermon.
The fact that Bishop Hermann used a somewhat stronger expression when describing the current situation made the Tyroleans smile. At the entrance to the cathedral, the music band Matrei ensures a worthy conclusion to the bishop’s mass.
Visit to the Swiss Guard
The impressive visit to Sant’Egidio in Trastevere is another highlight of the diocesan pilgrimage. For Bishop Hermann, the activities of Sant’Egidio are an affair of the heart. Bishop Hermann has come into contact with Andrea Riccardi and Cesare Zucconi as part of his initiatives related to the refugee camps in Greece. There is also a group of Sant’Egidio in Innsbruck.
