Sanction falls for OM, PSG and Monaco
Ligue 1 clubs (PSG, OM and Monaco) now know their financial fair play sanctions.
This Friday, UEFA announced the sanctions against eight European clubs including OM, PSG and AS Monaco. The three French clubs are fined for having exceeded the limit of 30 million euros authorized over three financial years. AC Milan, Besiktas, Juventus Turin, AS Roma and Inter Milan are in the same situation.
Thus, for not having respected the rules of financial fair play, PSG is sentenced to a fine of 65 million euros, including 55 million euros suspended. Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco are fined 2 million euros, including 1.3 million euros suspended.
UEFA has asked all clubs to improve this deficit over the next three years, otherwise the fine will be significantly higher. They could even be excluded from European competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Europa League Conference).
