Kostadin Kostadinov: “Revival” is Bulgaria’s chance for a free and independent state
- We will manage solely and independently
- In every other party, decisions are made by the American MP
- We are the only organization in Bulgaria that is not anti-Russian
- Our goal is one – to win the elections
- In order to get through the winter, we need to negotiate the lowest possible prices with Gazprom, says leader Dr. Kostadin Kostadinov in a special interview for STANDART newspaper
– Dr. Kostadinov, with what goals is “Vazrazhdane” going to the elections for the 48th National Assembly?
– We are all one – to win the elections, to become the first political force and to rule Bulgaria.
– What are your highlights in your pre-election program?
– The main task we have set ourselves is to declare to the Bulgarian people and the Bulgarian voters, of course, that in these elections we are not going to a simple parliamentary vote. In these elections, we are going to a referendum on whether Bulgaria should be a state and continue to exist, or whether it should be a colony and be totally destroyed by those who have been destroying both the Bulgarian state and the Bulgarian people for more than 30 years. So, in the course of the campaign, we will speak very simply to our voters and to everyone else, that the only political force that has a chance to give Bulgaria the opportunity to develop as a free and independent country, and for us Bulgarians to have a dignified and normal life, is “Revival”. All the other participants in the Bulgarian political process, all the representatives of the so-called political elite, represent just one camarilla, which over the years practically destroyed the future of Bulgaria, the consequences of this rule, and we are currently feeling it on our own backs.
– Slavi Trifonov asked for a referendum – whether Bulgaria should be a presidential or a parliamentary republic. How will you comment on this idea?
– It does not matter what the governance format will be in Bulgaria if it continues to be governed from the outside as a foreign colony. No matter if we are talking about a colonial democracy, in the format of a parliamentary democracy, or we are talking about a colonial republic, in the format of a presidential republic – in both cases, the decisions will not be made by the parliament or the presidency, but will be made by the American congressman. This is the main problem and I will emphasize once again – we have a huge challenge ahead of us. I must tell the Bulgarian people that Bulgaria is not an independent country, that it is an American colony ruled from outside, which, if it wants to have a dignified and normal life as a country, must conquer its freedom and independence.
– The government’s negotiations with Gazprom are currently at a standstill. You said that only Revival can lead them. Why do you think so?
– Because “Vazrazhdane” is the only organization in Bulgaria that is not anti-Russian. Everyone else is anti-Russian, and for that very reason they are part of the problem, not part of the solution. The only political organization that can conduct calm and normal negotiations with the Russian side is “Vazrazhdane”.
– What do you think is success in the negotiations with “Gazprom” – what should be the prices and terms of the contract?
– The term of the contract should be 10 years, as always until now, and the prices – as we manage to negotiate them. The lower the better for us.
– “Vazrazhdane” declared for the normalization of relations with Russia. What does this mean?
– This means stopping the provocations of the Russian side, lifting the sanctions against it, negotiating relations with Gazprom and re-establishing our normal economic, cultural and political ties.
– Which parties and with what weight do you see in the next National Assembly? Which of them will “Vazrazhdane” partner with?
– It doesn’t matter what parties will enter the next parliament, except “Revival”, because they all clearly and categorically show that they are implementing the same program, written in the same place in the American embassy. Bulgarian political parties are vessels with different labels but with the same content, so the names are irrelevant. The only thing he is not interested in is that “Vazrazhdane” has as much representation in the parliament as possible so that he can govern independently.
– According to sociologists, Stefan Yanev’s party is a direct competitor of “Vazrazhdane”. Is “Bulgarian Rise” a threat to you?
– I don’t know why sociologists have decided that this party, the state, is not even a party, and this coalition of parties could be a competition, since we have nothing in common. This is the party whose chairman supports Bulgaria’s entry into the Eurozone, something we are categorically against. This is a party whose chairman supports Bulgaria’s membership in NATO and the Low Alliance. This is an organization whose chairman introduced the green certificate and anti-epidemic measures in Bulgaria, against which we fought and led the Bulgarian people. So, in fact, if you are talking about the opponent of “Revival” in the sense of a formation bringing out the exact opposite of our values, our ideological views and understandings – yes, you are right here. But in this line of thinking, both GERB, and “Continuing the Change”, and BSP, and “Democratic Bulgaria”, and DPS, and “There is such a people” – all of them are neither opponents, because all of them like “Bulgarian Rise” also support the membership of Bulgaria in the low union and NATO, also supports the membership of Bulgaria in the Eurozone and the destruction of the Bulgarian lev and also supports the introduction of the green certificate and all kinds of restrictive measures in Bulgaria. So, in this line of thought, I don’t see any difference between Stefan Yanev’s formation and everyone else’s. So to me, this definition of sociologists that they could not be some kind of competition is really illogical.
– Predict are again for coalition government. Under what conditions would “Vazrazhdane” come to power?
– “Vazrazhdane” will manage independently and independently. We have seen, all political forces have clearly shown by their actions that each of them is directly accountable to the American embassy. “Vazrazhdane” cannot support parties that are dependent on foreign MPs, foreign countries that protect foreign national interests. From this point of view, I said at the very beginning and I will say it again to make it very clear, to make it categorically clear – “Vazrazhdane” will govern and only independently.
– An extremely hard winter awaits us. What do the analyzes of the economic team of “Vazrazhdane” show and what measures to support people and businesses will you propose?
– All the measures that can be proposed, we already proposed them at the beginning of this year, when immediately after the start of the war in Ukraine, it was seen that the Bulgarian economy would literally be on its toes, because of the insane pro-American actions of the ruling pro-American cabinet in our country. We proposed the reduction of excise duty on fuels, the removal of VAT on food items from the small consumer basket and medicines. We have proposed new pricing to reduce the cost of electricity for residential and industrial users, and none of this is acceptable. The only thing we need to understand and understand is the following – there can be no normalization of the Bulgarian economy and the Bulgarian economic system without normalization of relations with Russia. The only political force that can bring about this normalization is “Revival”. From this point of view, if “Vazrazhdane” does not govern Bulgaria, any other government will correct the Bulgarian financial system before collapse, and this should be as clearly understood as possible. A hard winter awaits us, not because of any objective reasons and circumstances, but because of purely subjective decisions of the Bulgarian rulers, taken in the interest of the Americans, the number goal is not only to destroy Bulgaria, but also to destroy Europe, only to weaken their geopolitical rival Russia. From this point of view, we Bulgarians should not participate in this game and we should do everything that depends on us to make our own decisions and not rely on someone else. If the Bulgarian people want Bulgaria to continue to exist, if they want to have a peaceful winter, and not a winter in which they wonder if they have to choose between food and warmth, because they cannot have both, but only one, they must voted for “Revival”. Otherwise – God bless Bulgaria.
