The Austrian racer P. Friesacher, who has arrived in Lithuania, promises fans an impressive spectacle
His career began on the go-kart circuit
The Red Bull pilot has been participating in such demonstration runs since 2014, but he admits that each time is special: “There is no monotony in these runs, because the tracks and weather conditions are different every time, so every show brings me a lot of joy”, impressions shares Mr. Friesacher.
The Austrian athlete does not hide that the desire to become a racer arose after trying the popular vehicle: “Like many representatives of this sport, I started my career on the go-kart track when I was only ten years old. I think my dad also sparked my interest in this sport. When I was very young in Austria, my native country, I started training driving karts, and at the moment I am counting the 32nd year in the sport of car racing,” says the racer about his career history.
Mr. Friesacher’s schedule is extremely busy, with a lot of training with regular race cars, traveling around the world and performing breathtaking shows for the biggest audiences. However, the home racer is happy to get into a normal car: “When I return from the day at high speed, the slow drive home, respecting the traffic rules, gives me a lot of happiness,” admits Mr. Friesacher.
A large team of professionals works on an exclusive car
It was not by chance that the RB7 sports car was chosen for this event. Model V 2.4-liter engine that debuted in 211 with German pilot Sebastian Velius, which, according to the manager of the historic team of Orac Red Bull Racing, Tony Burrows, will not leave anyone indifferent: “This racing engine runs loud and powerful, it is extremely easy to maneuver, which can create an impressive spectacle for the audience”.
A technical team of 11 people will work on the day of the car event, and it will take about three hours to prepare the formula for the event.
“The main purpose of this demonstration drive is to give spectators the opportunity to see and hear the formula up close. During driving, the vibrations of the road are caused by the smell of fast burning tires and quickly create a unique sight on the city streets”, – says T. Burrows.
However, the technical team from the United Kingdom is not afraid of the Lithuanian weather: “Of course, they believe that the weather will be favorable for both the experience of the gathered spectators and the performance, but even if it rains, the event will still take place and, I promise, it will be great,” says T Burrows.
