The next “MasterChef Portugal” will have new judges, and with Michelin stars. Chefs Pedro Pena Bastos, from CURA (restaurant at the Ritz Hotel Four Seasons Lisboa, which holds a Michelin star), Noélia Jerónimo (from Noélia and Jerónimo, in Tavira) and Ricardo Costa (leader of the kitchen at Yeatman, in Porto, awarded with two Michelin stars) are the successors of Marlene Vieira, Vítor Sobral and Óscar Geadas.
There is still no data for the Friday edition of “Masterchef Portugal”, but RTP1 should arrive soon. The format, which debuted on Portuguese television in 2011 on RTP, was also shown on TVI. The first season, with a presentation by Sílvia Alberto, had chefs Cordeiro, Justa Nobre and Ljubomir Stanisic as judges.
After RTP1, the format passed to TVI, with several editions. Manuel Luís Goucha, Rui Paula and Miguel Rocha Vieira were the judges of the first two editions of anonymous competitors, the last edition in 2014 and another in 2015. In the edition produced by TVI, in 2019, Nuno Bergonse joined the panel of judges and Manuel Luís Goucha is considered the presenter of the format.
After two editions with children, one in 2016 and another in 2018, (with Manuel Luís Goucha, Rui Paula and Miguel Rocha Vieira in the jury cast) and one with celebrities, in 2017, (Rui Paula, Miguel Rocha Vieira and Kiko Martins as judges and Leonor Poeiras in the presentation), the program returned to RTP1.
In 2021, in the fifth edition of “MasterChef Portugal”, Vítor Sobral, Óscar Geadas and Marlene Vieira were the judges chosen to test several competitors in the kitchen. There was no presenter in this edition, but I contour with the radio narration Ana Galvão. The winner of this new edition of anonymous competitors was Teresa Colaço.
