Toulouse. The Eco’faits at Jardin Monplaisir
The Monplaisir garden, which houses a small organic farmers’ market every Saturday morning, opens its spaces on Sunday 18 September for the first edition of Eco’Faites. This event organized by the collective Chemin faire takes the form of a “festive village” animated by about twenty associations, from the Glanerie to Zéro Déchet Toulouse via the associative café Le Grenier de Castanet, Humus and associates or even CPIE Terres Toulousaines, specialized in environmental education. These actors of the ecological transition will offer visitors a concentrate of workshops and activities that they supervise throughout the year and that can be found in their digital program Chemin faire. The opportunity to learn how to make cleaning products and washable wipes, transform waste into jewelry, use wild plants and put together a local grain library for the garden. “Within the collective and the Chemin faire program that we broadcast every quarter, each association brings its expertise in connection with practical ecology. The Eco’Faites will allow us to publicize our actions and the appointments that we will indicate. all year round”, explains Marion Aldegheri, waste prevention coordinator at the Glanerie. Concerts and on-site catering will also be on the program for this first edition scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
