Toulouse plans to “spare” its Blues for the World Cup-2023
Main provider of the XV of France, Toulouse plans to “household” its internationals this season with a view to the 2023 World Cup, without compromising the results of the club, which will return to the Top 14 on Sunday at Bordeaux Bègles.
“We spoke with the staff of the France team and our players. On a planted the decor »Toulouse coach Ugo Mola said Thursday at a press conference. “I’m not a fan of it but a rotation (of players, Editor’s note) is planned on data so that we manage to spare our troops. Just over a year before the start of the competition (from September 8 to October 28, 2023), Mola does not intend to completely weaken his team in the name of the best interests of the Blues and French rugby. “I will not sacrifice the results of the club against anyone and for anything”he asserted. “Priority will be given to Stade Toulouse in general. There’s what I want to do, what (the coach) Fabien Galthié wants to do, what the players want to do and what unfortunately life will allow us to do: the constraints, the injuries, the deadlines, the needs of the club…”
